The Opportunity:
Are you a hands-on, problem-solving PLC Technician looking for a challenging role where skills can be used to optimize production systems? The company seeks a skilled individual to join the Technical Services team and contribute to the evolution of manufacturing operations. This is a chance to work with advanced equipment, implement exciting upgrades, and play a vital role in continued success.
What You'll Do:
- Innovate and Enhance: Troubleshoot and upgrade existing equipment, contributing to cutting-edge new equipment design and implementation.
- Be a Hands-On Leader: Provide direct installation support for new or modified production equipment, bringing designs to life.
- Master Machine Control: Apply expertise in machine control and classical control theory to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize Advanced Tools: Effectively operate Fluke Meters and other electronic test equipment for diagnostics and optimization.
- Visualize and Document: Create detailed electrical schematic drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
- SCADA Development: Leverage knowledge of SCADA development platforms like Ignition, Python, and Labview to build and enhance control systems.
- Problem Solve and Collaborate: Tackle complex technical challenges independently or as part of a highly skilled team.
- Communicate Effectively: Interact with internal teams and engineers, providing excellent technical support and collaborating on solutions.
- Explore and Grow: Travel up to 10% annually, potentially globally, for projects and training opportunities.
What You'll Bring:
- Foundational Knowledge: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Proven PLC Expertise: A minimum of 3 years of engineering experience with direct PLC programming is required.
- HMI Development: Experience with HMI development, including RSView32, FT View, and C-more panels.
- Hardware Design: Experience with PCL/VFD wiring diagrams.
- Rockwell Automation: Proficiency with Rockwell ControlLogix & Micrologix systems.
- Koyo PLC Experience: Experience with Koyo PLC programming.
- Industrial Network Protocols: Knowledge of Ethernet I/P, DeviseNet, Modbus RTU, and Modbus TCP.
- Motion Control: Understanding of motion control, including servo, stepper, DC, and AC drives.
