A Bilingual Translator in an industrial injection molding environment serves as a critical communication link between English- and non-English-speaking employees, supervisors, and management. This role ensures accurate translation of technical instructions, safety procedures, and day-to-day operational communication to support productivity, quality, and workplace safety.
- Translate verbal and written communication between employees and management in real time on the production floor
- Interpret technical terminology related to injection molding processes, machinery, and materials
- Assist with training sessions by translating work instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines
- Support HR and leadership with onboarding, disciplinary meetings, and performance discussions
- Translate documents such as safety manuals, work instructions, and company policies
- Act as a liaison to help resolve communication barriers and improve team collaboration
- Ensure all translations maintain accuracy, tone, and intent—especially for safety-related information
- Assist in audits, inspections, and compliance-related communication as needed
- Walk the production floor regularly to provide ongoing language support
- Fluency in English and [second language, e.g., Spanish], both written and verbal
- Strong understanding of manufacturing or industrial environments (injection molding experience preferred)
- Familiarity with technical and mechanical terminology
- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to translate quickly and accurately in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail, especially regarding safety and compliance language
- Professionalism and ability to handle confidential information
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, document translation tools)
- Ability to work on the production floor, including standing/walking for extended periods
