Our client, a leading food manufacturing organization, is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join their team. As an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting plant operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Electrical and Instrumentation Technician
Location: South Sioux City, NE
Pay Range: $32-42hr based on experience
Shift: 3rd Shift; 6pm-6am rotating 2-2-3 schedule
What's the Job?
- Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment at the facility.
- Troubleshoot electrical control systems, PLCs, motors, and various control devices to ensure optimal operation.
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using testing instruments.
- Fabricate repair parts and maintain inventory levels for equipment, parts, and supplies.
- Support safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across all plant operations.
What's Needed?
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of mechanical and electrical experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of PLCs, process control systems, 480V electrical systems, and hydraulics.
- Ability to use hand tools, shop tools, and test equipment effectively.
- Ability to work on a 12-hour shift schedule in a continuous operation facility.
