Role Overview
The Director of Nursing is the heart of the Clinical Department, responsible for:
Instilling a positive, inclusive facility culture.
Setting and achieving Nursing Department goals.
Inspiring and leading the clinical team.
Overseeing all aspects of the Clinical Department.
Ensuring residents receive the high standard of care they expect, through creative problem-solving and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Manage nursing operations and staff performance.
Develop and implement care plans aligned with regulatory standards.
Lead staff training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
Monitor and improve care processes and quality metrics.
Serve as a liaison between clinical staff, administration, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
Associate’s degree in Science, Nursing, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
Unencumbered Iowa Registered Nurse (R.N.) license.
Previous department management experience.
Prior Director of Nursing or skilled nursing facility experience is highly desirable.
