Lead Handyman / Residential Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of residential handyman services, general repairs, and property maintenance tasks.
• Complete minor carpentry, drywall repairs, painting, caulking, door adjustments, hardware installations, and other common household repairs.
• Handle everyday household projects, including furniture assembly, shelving installation, picture and mirror hanging, and general home improvements.
• Assist homeowners with light junk and debris removal, disposal runs, and moving or organizing household items.
• Perform seasonal services such as holiday light installation and removal, outdoor furniture setup, and other seasonal property needs.
• Complete miscellaneous homeowner requests and smaller tasks that may not require specialized trade expertise.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance visits, home inspections, and routine property-care services.
• Troubleshoot household issues, identify potential problems, and recommend practical solutions.
• Recognize when work requires specialized equipment, additional personnel, or licensed trade professionals.
• Communicate directly with homeowners in a professional, courteous, and knowledgeable manner.
• Independently manage daily assignments, prioritize tasks, and complete work efficiently.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, protecting customers' homes and belongings throughout every visit.
• Document completed work using company software, including photographs, notes, time tracking, and follow-up recommendations.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle in a clean and professional condition.
• Help establish the workmanship and customer-service standards that future Manor technicians will follow.

Experience & Qualifications

• 5 years of hands-on experience in residential maintenance, handyman services, carpentry, remodeling, or a related field preferred.
• Broad knowledge of residential construction, building components, and common household maintenance issues.
• Strong general repair skills and the versatility to handle a wide variety of assignments.
• Willingness to perform both skilled repairs and basic household tasks with the same level of care and professionalism.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and pride in workmanship.
• Ability to interact comfortably and professionally with homeowners in high-end residential environments.
• Dependable, punctual, trustworthy, and committed to delivering quality work.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Comfortable using smartphones, mobile applications, and digital documentation tools.
• Ability to safely perform the physical duties associated with residential maintenance work.
• Own basic hand tools; company vehicle and additional equipment provided.

Preferred but Not Required:

• Experience working in high-end residential properties.
• Previous experience working directly with homeowners.
• Experience conducting preventative maintenance or property inspections.
• Experience mentoring or supervising other technicians.
