Position Summary: MannKind is currently seeking an Associate Director, Accounting, who will report to the Corporate Controller. This position will be responsible for technical accounting research, memos and implementation of new accounting guidance and unusual transactions. This role will assist with quarterly and annual SEC filings, manage the corporate accounting close process, including review of monthly journal entries and reconciliations, as necessary. The Associate Director will interact with our CFO and other senior level executives in support of accounting, audit, and compliance matters. Additionally, this individual will provide cross-functional departmental support (financial & operational) in technical accounting and participate in cross-functional teams addressing organizationally impactful projects. This position is located in our corporate headquarters in Westlake Village, CA. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
