Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selection and purchases
- Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol sales laws and regulations
- Operate POS systems for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to enhance the customer experience
- Upsell products, promotions, and add-ons to increase sales
- Maintain merchandising displays and ensure shelves are well-stocked and organized
- Restock shelves and assist with inventory management and stocking activities
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization to create a welcoming environment
- Address customer questions, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally
- Support supervising staff with daily store operations as needed
- Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cashiering procedures
- Ability to accurately verify IDs and follow alcohol compliance requirements
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and sales calculations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Customer service–oriented mindset with a friendly and professional attitude
- Experience with merchandising, upselling, and stock management preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior retail, convenience store, or liquor store experience is beneficial
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Pay: $9.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
