Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operation and support of the organization’s IT infrastructure across office and remote environments.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), endpoint management solutions, collaboration platforms, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
- Manage and support networking, wireless infrastructure, VPNs, firewalls, storage solutions, and cloud-based resources.
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot endpoints, business-critical software, and IT systems.
- Monitor system availability, performance, capacity, and security while proactively addressing operational issues.
- Manage backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and IT asset lifecycle processes.
- Lead infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, technology rollouts, and ongoing optimization initiatives.
- Serve as the primary liaison to the Managed Services Provider (MSP), establishing priorities, monitoring performance, and overseeing issue resolution.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and coordinate deployments, migrations, upgrades, and support activities.
- Maintain and strengthen the organization’s cybersecurity posture through security technologies, identity management, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies, standards, governance, and security procedures while supporting audits and compliance initiatives.
- Provide senior-level technical support and partner with Human Resources on employee onboarding, offboarding, equipment provisioning, and access management.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base resources.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute the organization’s technology roadmap.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements related to infrastructure, cybersecurity, automation, cloud services, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Support IT budgeting, forecasting, vendor selection, and long-term technology planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8 years of progressive IT experience, including hands-on infrastructure and systems administration.
- 3 years of experience leading IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or enterprise technology environments.
- Experience managing Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and third-party technology vendors.
- Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365 and cloud-based technology environments.
- Experience implementing and supporting enterprise IT systems within a growing organization.
- Experience in biotech, life sciences, healthcare, or another regulated environment is preferred.
- Experience supporting office buildouts or workplace technology initiatives is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI tools and technology governance is desirable.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to balance strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations.
