What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Dispatcher position at Manning Group?
Reports to: Director of Operations/Installation Manager
Role: Overall responsibility for scheduling and coordination all installation activities of designated projects including number of vehicles, foreman, installers, and installation partners using our IQ Coordinator software. This position is responsible for working with the project managers, warehouse, and foreman to orchestrate an efficient and productive schedule.
Responsibilities:
· Reviews the Master Schedule on a daily basis.
· Forecast manpower, trucks, and equipment
- Controls and Maintains all badging and badging requirements for existing clients
· Solicits future project schedules from project managers and warehouse managers for tentative or soft scheduling, working to schedule out two to four weeks, with long range projects out two to three months.
· Schedules time off, holidays, meetings, training, and other non-work order related labor assignments
· Creates the Daily Schedule
· Work with Project Managers to assign specific foreman, lead man, installers and Installation Partners based on dispatcher’s knowledge of field work and of personnel capabilities
· Work with the Warehouse Manager to assign Trucks and Drivers
· Continually update schedule as projects are revised
· Maintains flexibility in schedule to accommodate reasonable last-minute assignments
· Confirms delivery times with project managers
· Dispatch daily schedule to all parties
· Problem solves leadership and installer issues
· Keeps track of crew tardiness, no shows and other field issues, reporting attendance to Project Managers and Controller
· Solicits and schedules manpower for overnight and out of town work
· Keeps a detailed history of Master and Daily Schedules for future reference
· Maintains a positive working relationship with Installation Partners
· Any additional functions as may be deemed necessary to support the organization.
