Litigation Paralegal

MG M The Law Firm (MG M) has an immediate opening for a paralegal in our Boston office.

MG M is a nationally renowned litigation law firm concentrating on complex civil matters.  The firm's expertise is diverse but focused in the areas of toxic tort, complex product liability, local government, general liability, and commercial litigation.   We approach litigation as a unified team, integrating our efforts with those of our clients to advance their interests wherever they do business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple complex litigation matters simultaneously.
• Assist with all aspects of trial preparation and logistics, administrative/case management, client reporting, expert retention, and client communication.
• Monitor case filings and provide detailed assessments to attorneys.
• Draft and prepare initial drafts of various pre-trial motions, dispositive motions, motions in limine, and other pre-trial pleadings.
• Review and evaluate discovery documents including medical records, sales documents, employment records, and other case material.
• Compose case assessments and evaluations for review by associates and partners.
• Contemporaneous accounting and submission of personal billable time.
• Attendance at trials assisting trial team with all trial related matters. 

 Candidate Requirements:

• 5 years’ general litigation experience is required. Experience in Civil Litigation and/or General Liability defense litigation a plus. 
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), Westlaw, PACER, and/or File & Serve Xpress.
• Attendance & Punctuality: Consistently arrive at work and meetings on time; ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with attorneys, other paralegals, and legal administrative assistants.
• Organization: Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Customer service: Respond promptly to attorney and client requests for service and assistance; meet commitments.
• Dependability: Follow instructions, complete tasks on time, work independently, and commit to the hours necessary to meet deadlines.
• Teamwork: Contribute to building a positive team spirit and support the success of colleagues.
