Manna on Main Street, a nonprofit organization, provides emergency food services for the North Penn region of Montgomery County, PA. Manna serves food insecure households and individuals by providing emergency food, social services and educational opportunities in an equitable and dignified community environment. Manna operates a free food pantry called Manna's Market. Opened Monday - Saturday, the Market offers self-shopping and online ordering. The Market Associate will work with the Market Manager and the Market staff in preparing Manna's Market for self-shopping. The Market Associate will interact with food donors, volunteers, clients and staff in an inclusive, diverse and vibrant service environment.
Qualifications include ability to lift and move 40 pounds, ability to stand and move for 7 hours and squat while lifting and moving product. A strong candidate will have strong computer and data entry skills, experience in inventory control and retail food operations. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Arabic, Korean or Bengali is strongly preferred.
Full time, non-exempt position. Days: Monday – Friday with one Saturday a month. Hours will vary but generally will be 8 hours per day from 9:00AM – 5:00PM, with one evening shift until 8:00PM.
