Role Description This full-time Carpenter Window Installer Apprentice role is an on-site position based in Southaven MS. The apprentice supports senior carpenters and installers in measuring, preparing, and installing windows and related trim on residential and commercial projects. Daily tasks include assisting with framing openings, handling and setting windows, using hand tools and power tools under supervision, and helping with finish carpentry details such as casing, sills, and interior trim. The role also involves loading and unloading materials, maintaining a clean and safe work area, following safety procedures, and supporting the team in completing projects on schedule. As skills develop, the apprentice will take on more responsibility in layout, installation, and quality checks while learning the full scope of window and carpentry installation work.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess foundational carpentry skills and a strong interest in learning window installation techniques.
- Candidates should possess the ability to safely use common hand tools (e.g., hammers, tape measures, levels, chisels) with basic proficiency.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with power tools such as drills, saws, and nail guns, and be willing to follow all safety guidelines.
- Candidates should possess basic framing knowledge, including measuring, cutting, and assembling structural components for window openings.
