Role Description The salary range is $200,000. The Senior Attorney will have a book of business, with advanced legal counsel and representation to clients across the firm’s core practice areas, with a focus on complex matters that require seasoned judgment and strategic thinking. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Needham Heights, MA, with some flexibility to work from home as appropriate. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a substantial caseload from intake through resolution, conducting legal research, drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, contracts, and other legal documents, and appearing in court and before administrative agencies. The Senior Attorney will meet with clients regularly, assess legal risks, develop case strategies, negotiate settlements, and collaborate with colleagues and staff to ensure high-quality work product and timely case progression. Additional responsibilities include mentoring junior attorneys or paralegals, contributing to firm best practices, and supporting business development through client relationship management and community or professional engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law, with demonstrated experience handling litigation or advisory matters in one or more of the firm’s practice areas (e.g., personal injury, business litigation, employment-related disputes).
- Substantive experience in Labor and Employment Law, including counseling clients on workplace issues and representing parties in employment-related claims, is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to a diverse client base, including individuals and businesses, in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
- Excellent Research skills, including case law analysis, statutory interpretation, and preparation of well-supported legal arguments and memoranda.
- Advanced Negotiation skills, with a track record of effectively resolving disputes, achieving favorable settlements, and advocating in mediations or conferences.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar (or eligibility for prompt admission).
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a law firm environment with client-facing responsibilities
