At this time we have openings in our welding area, as a Weld Department Operator on 3rd Shift!
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Operate spot welders or robotic weld centers to manufacture product according to customer specifications; completes first piece inspections.
- Follows work order router for labelling and moving parts.
- Communicates with supervisor or lead people when defects or other quality issues arise to ensure prompt response.
- Understands proper destructive test procedures.
- Runs tap and pemserting jobs.
- Communicates and works closely with other department personnel on a regular basis in ensuring delivery of highest quality product on time to our valued customers.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Follows and adapts to procedures as described in the Quality System Procedures.
- Can identify weld defects.
- Is capable of doing first and last part inspections.
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education:
The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma or GED and have previous manufacturing experience but we are willing to train. The ability to understand and follow direction is a must.
Work Environment:
This position is considered light to medium duty and is in a production manufacturing setting with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
