MGX Equipment Services is hiring a Service Manager in Kansas City, MO (reporting to the Branch Manager) to orchestrate a high-performing service department—owning customer success, P&L accountability, technician development, and rigorous safety standards.

- You’ll send the right technical talent to solve complex issues—installations, operational challenges, repairs, and machine modifications—while guiding parts and warranty support.
- You’ll manage warranty negotiations and administer the product warranty program.
- You’ll coordinate Service Bulletins and Product Improvement Programs that keep fleets performing.
- You’ll translate customer questions into swift resolutions across parts, service, and warranty.
- You’ll partner with suppliers and collaborate with sales & marketing.
- You’ll expand product support revenue, including reimbursable service work.
- You’ll contribute to long-range business planning—and tackle other assigned duties.
- High School Diploma or GED (required); Technical Degree (preferred).
- 5 years in heavy construction equipment management or product support.
- Direct experience with mobile hydraulic and crawler cranes is required; exposure to Manitowoc, National, and Grove is beneficial.
- Comfort optimizing rental fleet scheduling and turnaround (preferred).
- Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Minimal travel.
- Work safely at all times and follow company standards.
- Use all mandated P.P.E. for each task.
- Adhere to job-specific and facility safety/health procedures and rules.
- Engage in training and demonstrate competence.
- Report hazards and unsafe behaviors—or correct them when appropriate.
This is a full-time position with typical 1st shift working hours. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions.

Salary : $88,000 - $115,000
