What You’ll Do
As a Highway Maintenance Worker, you’ll perform a variety of important outdoor maintenance and roadway operations, including:
- Maintaining county roads and right-of-ways to keep travel safe and efficient
- Operating snowplows and snow removal equipment during winter weather events
- Mowing grass, trimming trees and brush, spraying weeds, and repairing washouts
- Repairing potholes, filling roadway cracks, and maintaining bridges and guardrails
- Installing and repairing posts, markers, and snow fences
- Helping improve the appearance and safety of county roadways through general maintenance and cleanup

A high school diploma or any combination of education and work experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
A Class A Commercial Driver's License is preferred.
