General Accountability
A Shipping Pallet Builder assembles boxes, skids, crates or platforms used for shipping equipment and machine parts. Pallet-Order builders also plan and build or assemble the most effective crating method for new or unusual items. Employee will also be responsible for loading LTL trailers.
Available Shift: Monday-Friday 10a-6:30p

General Accountability
A Shipping Pallet Builder assembles boxes, skids, crates or platforms used for shipping equipment and machine parts. Pallet-Order builders also plan and build or assemble the most effective crating method for new or unusual items. Employee will also be responsible for loading LTL trailers.
Available Shift: Monday-Friday 10a-6:30p
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for accurately building, staging, and loading orders based on a pick ticket.
- Use appropriate manual or powered tools safely
- Verify the boxes, skids, crates or platforms built is accurate with the order request
- Understand how to safely operate and use power/manual tools
- Ensure Quality Control Standards and Practices are occurring (recording errors, inspect parts for damage, correct shortages, wrong parts and using QC Forms)
- Meet and exceed daily productivity and quality standards
- Record daily productivity on Progress Control Boards per Lean Philosophy
- Operate stand up and sit down forklifts – and/or be willing to be trained
- Responsible to help maintain cleanliness and 5S standards
- Must be willing to be cross-trained in other areas in the warehouse as needed
- Must perform within the Company Safety Program and Policies
- Perform miscellaneous activities as directed to support the efficient operation of the warehouse
- Ensure all skids for each order are loaded properly and safely for transport in a semi trailer.
- Previous experience with a Barcode Scanning System/handheld preferred
- Forklift Certification preferred (order picker, reach truck, stand up RC); must be able to pass the forklift certification test
- Previous warehouse, crate building or carpentry experience preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as part of the job function while using safe lifting techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Able to work independently under minimal supervision
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Some computer skills and basic math skills needed
- Requires a high school education or equivalent
- Base pay will be $19.00/hour plus a potential quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
- Actual pay determined by experience level, skills, qualifications & work location
- This position is located onsite in Belvidere, IL
- Travel Requirements – no travel required
