POSITION SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to provide high quality patient experience during the Registration process to community members and Maniilaq employees. This position provides the day to day operation support for Registration Clerks. Reports directly to the Registration Manager.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will complete ten per day - registration quality reviews and documentation.
Prepare, maintains, and updated work schedules, ensures publication, distribution, and posting of all new work schedules at least 10 calendar days in advance of expiration of current schedules to avoid interruption in work process and flow
Works closely with the Registration Manager to continue to improve the registration experience for both internal and external customers.
Will work with the Alternate Resource Specialists to identify patients without current insurance information
Responsible to work a minimum of thirty (30) hours per week direct patient registrations
Is responsible for timely securing and creation of timesheets of the Registration staff.
Responsible for training new Registration Clerks.
Provides on-call coverage for Registration and the ER as scheduled.
Job Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Two years' experience in either healthcare or staff management. High school diploma or equivalent. Some college hours are preferred. RPMS experience with basic Microsoft Word and Excel are required. Experience in staff training is preferred. Must have good customer service skills and be a team player. Must display good telephone etiquette in order to deal appropriately with the public and insurance companies. Must be able to type at least 25 words per minute on a computer. Must be able to sort alphabetically and numerically. Must have the ability to prioritize and carry out daily duties in a timely and accurate manner with minimal supervision.
