What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Content Manager position at Manifold?
About Manifold
Manifold AI is the enterprise agent platform for life sciences. We help biopharma and data organizations put AI agents to work on complex, regulated workflows. We're an early-stage team with a small, senior marketing group and real customer proof points (Foundation Medicine, The Broad Institute, Carelon and more).
The Role
We're looking for an excellent content marketer who treats content as a system. You'll take a content engine we've half-built (ICP and persona work, messaging foundations, templates) and refine, run, and scale it. The goal is high-quality content output per dollar of budget, with a “good” first draft produced efficiently so your time goes to strategy and distribution rather than production.
What You'll Own
- ICP content foundation: Cornerstone content mapped to our buyer personas and maturity stages.
- Always on: Net-new blog and thought leadership, including securing co-authors and SME input.
- Lead-capture offers: Gated assets, guides, and other content that drives pipeline.
- Webinars end-to-end: Topic, speakers, promotion, and follow-up.
- The content system: Maintain “golden examples” for each content type, standard intake structures for reliable context, and an AI-assisted workflow (including Slack-based tooling) so teammates can get a strong first draft quickly. Keep shrinking the last-mile editing over time.
- Distribution and discoverability: Get content in front of the right audiences across owned, earned, and partner channels, with attention to SEO and AEO (answer-engine) authority.
What We're Looking for
- Track record as a strong B2B content marketer, ideally at a startup or scale-up
- Demonstrated success getting content distributed: you can point to channels, formats, and tactics that drove real reach, rankings, or pipeline
- Hands-on fluency with current AI tools (Claude or similar) for drafting, research, and workflow automation, and a point of view on what makes AI-assisted content good vs. generic
- Experience building repeatable systems: templates, briefs, review workflows, SME intake
- Comfort coordinating busy experts and cross-functional reviewers without letting process slow output
- Understanding of AEO and how content earns citations in AI search
- Strong editorial judgment and the ability to write for sophisticated, technical audiences
Nice to have (not required): Life sciences, healthcare, or enterprise AI experience. If your system and SME-review process are strong, we don't require domain depth.
Engagement
Contract, ~50hr/month, remote-friendly, starting Q4 2026. Reports to Head of Marketing.
