ServiceNow DEVELOPER IV to Serve the Finance Industry

MANIFEST Technology is seeking an Application Developer – IV / ServiceNow Developer to drive the full lifecycle development of solutions on the ServiceNow Platform. This role involves creating conceptual, logical, and physical IT engineering designs that meet technical and business requirements. Key responsibilities include conducting detailed business requirement analysis, ensuring design traceability, and preparing comprehensive testing strategies utilizing the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF). The developer will also draft implementation and operational support plans. Beyond technical execution, the role requires strong Communication/Collaboration, Problem-Solving, and Adaptability skills to serve as a strategic advisor on ServiceNow best practices, leading initiatives to optimize application development and deployment processes.

Position type: W-2 ; US Citizen only; No C2C

Duration: 1 year with likely extension

Location/Hours: Onsite 5 days a week in Minneapolis, MN

Pay Range: $85-$95/hr; W-2; No C2C

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a ServiceNow Application Developer, you will work with Product Owners to understand requirements, build high-quality, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture, and help improve application development, deployment, and customization.

JOB TASKS

• Build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code in ServiceNow by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
• Advise team and customers on best practices and how to implement the necessary changes to address their business needs in the ServiceNow Platform. Recommend alternatives and performs gap analysis to identify unaddressed needs.
• Lead strategic guidance initiatives and leadership to clients and leaders as it relates to the ServiceNow Platform. Key contributor in process improvement and long-term technical strategic solution discussions.
• Work with the product owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation, and delivery of high-quality product to our users.
• Work with a strong set of teams to improve developing and deploying applications and customizations
• Design software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite
• Collaborate day-to-day with an energetic team of like-minded developers, product managers, and quality engineers using agile software development methodology.
• Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the team.
• Perform change management using the ServiceNow platform following FRIT change management policies and procedures for software propagation to other environments.
• May indirectly lead complex projects and participate in technical/complex projects.
• Provide project updates during Daily Standups as required.
• Assist with monitoring compliance with internal audit requirements and Information Security Manual guidelines

TOP HARD SKILLS

• Service Catalog development experience
• Flow designer experience
• CSA certification
• ServiceNow Platform: Familiarity with core concepts like forms, tables, ACLs, and the Next Experience UI.
• Workflow Automation: Experience with Flow Designer, approvals, and notifications is vital.
• JavaScript: Essential for scripting customizations, business rules, and client scripts.
• ServiceNow Scripting: Proficiency with Glide APIs, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Script Includes.
• Integrations: Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs for connecting with other systems is necessary.

TOP SOFT SKILLS

• Communication/ Collaboration: Working effectively with cross-functional teams: Ability to clearly explain technical concepts and requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving/ Attention to Detail: Crucial for creating accurate and functional solutions. Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and debugging issues in a production environment.
• Adaptability: Keeping up with new platform features and staying current with best practices.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in the CRM, Customer Support, Sales, and Marketing domains - Experience with the overall Salesforce platform and working knowledge of Salesforce integration approaches
• Experience delivering Salesforce solutions from design to production
• Experience integrating Salesforce with 3rd party solutions
• Experience engineering solutions across a heterogeneous datacenter, cloud, and SaaS environments - Experience using standard development practices
• Experience with change management systems and processes
• Experience in troubleshooting, diagnosis, and problem-solving
• Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell or shell scripting)
• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes (Gitlab)
• Platform certification is a plus
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is highly desired
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5 plus years of direct work-related experience
