MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

MANIFEST Technology is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to be responsible for supporting quality management and driving Lean initiatives throughout the product realization process for both new development programs and existing products. This role involves attending product and process design reviews, facilitating completion of quality assurance activities, and leading Lean improvement projects.

Duration: Long-term ongoing; permanent hire

Location/Hours: Onsite in Roseville, MN

Pay Range: $70-$90K/annual salary; W-2; No C2C

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO...)

• Lean Implementation: Lead and support Lean manufacturing projects to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production processes.
• Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain robust, statistically based control plans, inspection methods, and process controls for new product development and ongoing production.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor the entire production cycle, perform regular tests, and identify opportunities for continual improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Quality System Management: Update and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) with preventive and corrective actions, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
• Inspection Planning: Set detailed guidelines for inspection methods and criteria, and facilitate the development of inspection plans.
• Training & Coaching: Conduct training for inspectors and operations staff, mentor team members on Lean and quality practices, and onboard new engineers and technicians.
• Metrics & Reporting: Determine and track quality metrics for all manufacturing operations, prepare reports on nonconformances and corrective actions, and coordinate with external auditors.
• CAPA Leadership: Act as a leader and technical resource for Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), ensuring timely and effective completion.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality, to drive organizational goals and ensure product quality.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED

• Experience in Lean manufacturing and quality engineering.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead projects and train others in Lean and quality methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Cad experience.
• Proficient with inspection tools.
• Experience with PLC programming.
• Machine shop experience
• Bachelor's degree – Mechanical or Industrial

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

• Capable and willing to work “hands on” in a light industrial environment.
