SHIFT: 6:00AM-3:00PM
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases, ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods with confidence
- Manage retail sales transactions efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
- Provide product demos and answer customer questions about store merchandise to promote sales and enhance customer satisfaction
- Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities while respecting customer preferences
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to support effective merchandising and store presentation
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Handle cash drawer balancing at shift end, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded and accounted for
Experience
- Prior cashiering experience in a retail environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations is a plus
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customers effectively
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for retail math calculations and cash handling tasks
- Experience in supervising or mentoring team members is an advantage but not mandatory; leadership qualities are appreciated
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and inventory stocking will help you excel in this role
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters positive interactions
