About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Design Assistant to join our Womenswear team. This role provides hands-on experience in all stages of the design process—from concept development to sample production—offering a unique opportunity to learn within a fast-paced fashion environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design team in developing seasonal collections, including sketches, CADs, and colour palettes.
- Own the fabric sourcing process — identify, contact, and liaise with suppliers to request swatches, evaluate quality, and manage the material library.
- Set up and maintain detailed tech packs (including measurements, construction details, trims, and materials) for handoff to production.
- Support in fit sessions and sample reviews, documenting feedback and ensuring changes are clearly communicated.
- Collaborate with the production and merchandising teams to ensure design integrity and timelines are maintained.
- Maintain and organize sample racks, fabric archives, and design documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and trends.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- A proactive, collaborative attitude and willingness to learn
