What are the responsibilities and job description for the FT Special Education Consultant, District-Wide position at Manheim Central School District?
Manheim Central School District is seeking to hire a FT Special Education Consultant for the 2026-2027 school year.
This position is responsible for supporting the district’s efforts to ensure Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) to all students who receive special education services.
The ideal candidate will support special education services at all levels, reviewing special education documents for quality and compliance, providing training and consultation to staff, collecting and analyzing data, attending/leading meetings, serving as LEA, and other duties as designated by the Supervisor of Special Education.
Requirements:
- PA Level II Certification in Special Education
- Minimum of five years teaching experience in Special Education
- Knowledge of special education services and the general education curriculum
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations for special education
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Technology skills
- Organized and cognizant of deadlines
- Valid driver's license and means of transportation
- High degree of independence with and without supervisory guidance
Preferred:
- A masters degree or additional training in special education
- Experience in team leadership and professional development
- Experience with diverse populations Bilingual
