What are the responsibilities and job description for the FT Life Skills Support Personal Care Assistant, High School position at Manheim Central School District?
The Manheim Central School District is seeking to hire a Full-Time Life Skills Support Personal Care Assistant for a learner at our High School.
This individual, under the supervision of the classroom teacher, will assist students with disabilities in achieving specific goals related to education, daily living, and behavior. They will monitor students in a variety of school environments for the purpose of maintaining a safe and positive learning environment. In addition to this, the Personal Care Assistant reinforces learning by offering individual instruction and will assist with classroom clerical duties as needed.
Please note any of the following certification/skills on your application:
- CPR Certification
- CPI Certification
An associate degree, or at least 48 hours of post-secondary credits, is preferred. Otherwise, must present a PA Paraeducator Credential of Competency Certificate or be willing to complete free online program within three months of hire. Additionally, 20 hours of staff development is required each school year.
10-Month Position
