We are seeking a professional, friendly and energetic individual with great customer service skills to join our team as a Mini Golf Snack Bar Attendant at the Pier during the summer.
NYC Food Handlers License strongly preferred if not, the ability to get Food Handler's License within one month;
NYC Food Handlers License strongly preferred if not, the ability to get Food Handler's License within one month;
Work schedule
- Must be available every weekend throughout the summer;
- The commitment would be from now till end of October
- Saturdays and Sundays (weekends) (9am – 4pm)
- Opportunity to work more hours during the weekend
Primary Responsibilities
- Taking orders from customers
- Preparing and serving food;
- Handling transactions and cash-handling;
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the snack bar area;
- Stocking inventory and replenishing supplies;
- Providing excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns;
- Following safety and hygiene procedures to ensure food safety;
- Collaborating with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the snack bar;
- Commitment to Manhattan Youth’s mission;
- Perform other job duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D required;
- NYC Food Handlers License strongly preferred if not, the ability to get Food Handler's License within one month;
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and food safety regulations;
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods of time;
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
