Manhattan Theatre Club (MTC), a Tony Award-winning not-for-profit theatre dedicated to the production of contemporary plays and musicals, seeks a motivated Assistant Box Office Treasurer to become part of our Friedman Theatre team.
For over fifty years, MTC has been the creative and artistic home for America’s most gifted theatrical artists, producing works of the highest quality by American and international playwrights. We are strongly committed to producing work that is made by, and tells the stories of, a wide range of voices from all walks of life and to making that work accessible to all audiences including those that have historically lacked access to the arts and cultural sector. MTC produces up to eight plays annually in Broadway's restored Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on West 47th Street and off Broadway at the historic NY City Center complex on West 55th Street.
This position will report to the Box office Treasurer. Applicants MUST have box office experience. Experience with StarClient (Telecharge) and Tessitura is a big plus. Must have excellent customer service skills, and be detail-oriented and highly motivated. This is an excellent opportunity for a box office professional looking to seriously commit to taking the next steps in their career by working in a Broadway box office.
This is a Local 751 union position with starting salary of $1,165.90 a week and benefits as prescribed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement, and requires a full-time commitment while shows are running.
