Education: BA/BS Degree
Licensure Requirements:
6 credits in any combination of the following:
Keyboarding, Management/Business Organization, Business English/Communications, Introduction to Computers
3 credits: Information Systems, Additional Keyboarding
9 credits in any combination of the following:
Machine Transcription, Shorthand Transcription, Software Applications, Additional Business English, Business Math/Accounting, Recordkeeping, Economics
Office Skills (Option 2) (Code 05-011)
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience: 5 years of full-time practical experience in general office skills including keyboarding and transcription
Computer Applications Instructor
Computer Applications (Option 1) (Code 08-001)
Education: BA/BS Degree
Licensure Requirements:
6 credits in any combination of the following:
Keyboarding, Management/Business Organization, Business English/Communications, Introduction to Computers, Business Math
6 credits in Software Applications or 2 years of full-time practical experience in Computer Applications
6 credits in any combination of the following:
Introduction to Computers, Additional Software Applications, Computer Systems Management, Business Math/Basic Accounting, Recordkeeping, Economics
Computer Applications (Option 2) (Code 08-001)
Education: AS Degree in Computer Science
Experience: 2 years of full-time practical experience in Computer Applications
Computer Applications (Option 3) (Code 08-001)
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience: 5 years of full-time practical experience in Computer Applications
General Academic Instructor
General Academic Instructor (Code 21-001)
Education: BA/BS Degree
Responsibilities:
Keep course materials up to date and ensure the syllabus is followed.
Assist with developing new course content as needed.
Teach all subjects comprehensively, adhering to the curriculum.
Use diverse instructional methods to support students' different learning needs.
Prepare lesson plans.
Assess and evaluate students' skills and understanding according to program guidelines.
Track and report student progress, maintaining clear records for grades and attendance.
Attend staff meetings and collaborate with faculty.
Adhere to all academic policies and procedures of the school.
Requirements:
Must either possess the required licenses or meet the education, experience, and additional requirements to be eligible to apply for licensure.
