What are the responsibilities and job description for the Skilled Maintenance Level II- Groundskeeper position at Manhattan-Ogden USD 383?
JOB GOAL:
Complete maintenance tasks in a variety of general and skilled maintenance areas and assists in larger skilled maintenance projects to ensure all systems are maintained in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of them may be made at all times. Cross trained in all areas of general and skilled maintenance, relieving the District of dependence on outside contractors.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responds to alarm system calls in all District buildings, determining necessary action, during and after regular school hours.
Maintenance and upkeep of all district landscaping equipment, synthetic turf equipment, and snow removal equipment.
Maintenance and grooming of synthetic turf at Bishop Field and elementary school playgrounds.
Perform all aspects of turf management and grounds keeping at all district locations.
Performs maintenance tasks independently in the following areas, including but not limited to plumbing, mechanics, painting, roofing, and cleaning equipment repair and maintenance.
Provides assistance in the following skilled maintenance areas, including but not limited to key and lock systems, welding, carpentry, HVAC, and electrical.
Performs HVAC filter replacement in all District buildings.
Ability to effectively communicate and maintain harmonious relationships with district staff and coworkers.
General maintenance duties in the schools as assigned by supervisor.
Other duties as designated by supervisor

Pay: $15.00 - $18.50 per hour
