POSITION SUMMARY:
The Electrical Estimator has a focus on companywide success in adherence to MCC Standards and all preconstruction activities necessary for the preparation and undertaking for all of Manhattan’s preconstruction services related to the electrical scope of work. The position is responsible for compiling estimates, guiding owners, & driving precon deliverables to budget. The Electrical Estimator must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. In addition, the skill set of owning one’s work & being confident in the message that is being delivered is crucial to this role.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for creating estimates for electrical / low voltage scope of work assigned
- Basic knowledge of unit pricing for electrical / low voltage scope of work
- Basic knowledge of electrical / low voltage scopes of work
- Owns Vendor Solicitation for electrical / low voltage scopes of works assigned
- Negotiates pricing for electrical / low voltage scopes of works
- Owns contracts for electrical / low voltage scopes of work assigned
- Makes recommendations for software updates for electrical / low voltage scopes
- Responsible for bid package electrical / low voltage scopes of work for work assigned
- Assists in managing historical costs / estimating software database for electrical / low voltage scopes of work
- Responsible for conducting themselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles and exhibiting attributes matching the Way We Work.
- Other duties as assigned

- Knowledge of Autodesk Software
- Knowledge of Estimating & Takeoff Software
- Bachelor’s Degree- Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent. May substitute required education degree with related experience on a one-to-one basis
- 5 years of industry experience
- Experience w/ & Knowledge of Electrical scope of work (subcontractor / design firm)
- Ability to physically stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat throughout the day.
- Ability to repeat the same movements.
- Ability to communicate effectively to participate fully in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls.
- Use hands to type, handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or control.
- Occasionally lift, pull, or move up to 25 lbs.
- Occasional travel will be required, primarily in the metropolitan area but sometimes domestically (must have a valid Driver’s License).
