Job Overview
Manhattan Bagel is seeking friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Team Members and Cashier to join our vibrant café team. As a key part of our customer service experience, you will be responsible for preparing food, handling transactions, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, sales, and hospitality within a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Prior experience in food preparation or retail is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn.

Duties

• Prepare a variety of bagels, sandwiches, and other menu items following established recipes and safety standards
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and payment handling
• Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and basic math calculations
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the café area, including food prep stations, dining space, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
• Restock supplies as needed and assist with food handling, bussing tables, and general sanitation duties
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
• Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation

Experience

• Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants, cafés, or grocery stores is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Experience in cashiering, serving, or retail math helps ensure accurate transactions and upselling skills
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures is beneficial
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and team-oriented mindset

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
