We are seeking an Accounting Associate for a contract role. You will play a key role in both daily operations and month-end financial activities. This position supports a wide range of accounting and administrative responsibilities including reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and ongoing communication with internal departments, vendors, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and communicate effectively.
- Process and enter Bills of Lading (BOLs) and submit purchase orders (POs).
- Perform daily reconciliation and balancing of units; investigate and resolve variances.
- Review daily reports to identify and address anomalies.
- Provide administrative support as needed.
- Manage daily closings and ensure completeness of financial data.
- Handle vendor payables, perform reconciliations, and act as a point of contact.
- Oversee accounts receivable and manage cash application activities.
- Research general ledger accounts, track expenses, and prepare accruals.
- Assist with month-end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Analyze and interpret financial data with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and GAAP audit standards.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on accounting experience.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in accounting and productivity software.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software is strongly preferred.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check as well as a drug test. Role is onsite 5 days a week close to the airport.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
