Position Title: Azure Data architect with data fabric

Job Location: Santa Clara, CA(Onsite)

Joining Mode: Long Term Contract

Job Description:

12 years of experience Total and Architect 4-5 years in data architecture or similar roles; several years specifically on Azure data services and modern data platforms.

Proven expertise with Microsoft Fabric (lakehouse/warehouse, OneLake, Unity Catalog, pipelines) and Azure data services (Azure Synapse Analytics, ADF, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2).

Startup Jobs

Strong SQL skills (T-SQL), experience with Python/Scala and Spark or PySpark for big-data transformations.

Institute of Data

Data modelling and warehousing experience: star schema, snowflake, dimensional modelling, medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers) pattern.

Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines, using ADF, dataflows or Synapse pipelines.

Knowledge of data governance, metadata, data lineage, security and compliance in cloud data platforms.

Strong communication and leadership skills: able to liaise with both business and technical stakeholders, mentor teams, review architecture.

Familiarity with DevOps or DataOps practices for data solutions: CI/CD pipelines, IaC (ARM/Bicep/Terraform), monitoring.
