JOB DESCRIPTION for:

Manufacturing Support Tech

This is a 3rd shift position but must be able to train on 1st shift.

Schedule: · 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:30am-5:00pm

2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00pm-3:30am·

3rd Shift: Friday-Sunday 5:00am-5:30pm

Pay Scale: · $19.00-$24.00 per hour DOE

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Working knowledge and/or familiarity of a manufacturing work environment
  • Mechanically inclined and enjoys working within a team environment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Experience operating a fork lift

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with manufacturing-based technology, processes, and principles.
  • Experience with basic building maintenance tasks (painting, drywall, plumbing, etc.)
  • Experience operating and maintaining lawn care or grounds equipment

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhering to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual (Doc# 50226)
  • Adhering to the codes of the company’s Quality Management System
  • Adhering to the expectations as outlined in the general and position-specific expectation documents as applicable
  • Continually demonstrate, promote, and be a cheerleader for the company’s Core Values
  • Maintaining confidentiality on all corporate subjects so classified
  • Perform assignments on various facility maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Assist Level II Facilities Technicians and other team members with their job responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning duties to ensure the shop and facility meet cleanliness and safety requirements
  • Safely operate forklift equipment
  • Perform outside custodial duties including snow removal, mowing, tree/shrub trimming, landscaping, and parking lot maintenance
  • Assist with renovation/remodeling of buildings, including drywall, plaster, and painting (interior and exterior)
  • Identify, remove, and transport chips generated by CNC machining
  • Inspect and maintain boiler equipment under supervision
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists for assigned maintenance tasks and report findings to the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Participate in required safety training

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or listen. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands or fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a plant environment to include moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and explosives. Safety Glasses must be worn in all required areas. Safety Toe (Steel or Kevlar) shoes or boots must be worn at all times, while working in the manufacturing areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, ear protection is provided if needed.
