Job Description
We are looking for a superstar communicator who is bright, bubbly and has great leadership qualities to join our team!
We are looking for someone to work between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm, and every other Saturday.
This is full-time role working 35-40 hours a week and includes a lunch provided every shift.
Retail hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 6:30 pm and Saturday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. We are closed on Sundays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize retail store operations and allocate responsibilities to employees.
- Develop business strategies to raise our customers’ pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability
- Monitor stock levels and purchases and ensure they stay within budget.
- Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or display.
- You will help assist customers at our service counter from grabbing different cuts of meat to slicing lunch meats and cheeses.
- Make deli sandwiches as ordered by customers.
- Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
- Answer customers' questions about products, prices, and availability.
- Ensure products are stocked and look presentable.
- Filling our retail coolers and freezers.
- Inform customers about discounts and special offers.
- Stay up to date with new products/services.
- When helping a customer, you will finish with them by checking them out using a POS system and taking payment.
- Must be able to be cross trained in other positions in the retail store.
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job.
- Excellent organizing and leadership skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends.
- Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures.
- Demonstrated commitment to the GMP program requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers.
Preferred Experience:
- Safety training.
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) training.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the use of all parts of the body. This includes activities such as (but not limited to) walking, lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, twisting, and turning. The ability to lift 30 lbs. on a regular basis and occasionally up to 60 lbs. The ability to stand for the entirety of the shift (minus break/rest periods).
