Manea’s Meats is a specialty, family-owned and operated meat market in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. We pride ourselves in our unique selections of beef, chicken, and pork. We make all sausages, bacon, meat sticks, and much more in house! You will feel right at home while working at this family owned and operated meat market.

Job Description

We are looking for a bubbly, personable, energetic, and self-motivated individual to join our Retail team at Manea's Meats!

This is part-time role working 20-30 hours a week and includes a lunch provided every shift.

We are looking for someone to work 3/4 days a week between 10 am and 7 pm, and every other Saturday. We are closed on Sundays.

Retail hours are Monday - Friday 8 am - 7 pm and Saturday 8 am - 5:30 pm.

Candidates with effective communication skills who can make our customers feel welcome in our store will stand out.

Responsibilities:

• You will help assist customers at our service counter from grabbing different cuts of meat to slicing lunch meats and cheeses.
• Make deli sandwiches as ordered by customers.
• Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
• Answer customers' questions about products, prices, and availability.
• Ensure products are stocked and look presentable.
• Filling our retail coolers and freezers.
• Inform customers about discounts and special offers.
• Stay up to date with new products/services.
• When helping a customer, you will finish with them by checking them out using a POS system and taking payment.
• Must be able to be cross trained in other positions in the retail store.
• Provide customer feedback to the Retail Lead.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends.
• Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures.
• Familiarity with consumer behavior principles.
• Demonstrated commitment to the GMP program requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers.

Preferred Experience:

• Safety training.
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) training.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the use of all parts of the body. This includes activities such as (but not limited to) walking, lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, twisting, and turning. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, elbows, hands, and fingers. The ability to lift to 30 lbs. on a regular basis and occasionally up to 60 lbs. The ability to stand for the entirety of the shift (minus break/rest periods).
