Industrial Cleaner (10 am - 7 pm)

Manea’s Meats is a specialty, family-owned and operated meat market in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. We pride ourselves in our unique selections of beef, chicken, and pork. All sausages, bacon, meat sticks, and more are made in house!

This position is responsible for keeping the production facility in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning equipment, washing floors and walls, removing garbage, and other duties to support plant sanitation.

Job Type: Full-time 40 hours a week; 10:00 am - 7:00 pm Monday - Friday. (End times and hours vary based on production/cleaning needs).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Washes, scrubs, rinses machinery and conveyors in assigned working areas using chemicals and cleaning tools.
• Cleans production equipment.
• Disassemble, sanitize, and reassemble food processing equipment.
• Keeping area clean and walkways free of product and debris.
• Complete the cleaning process and prepare for USDA inspection.
• Complies with HACCP, GMP’s, SOP and Food safety requirements.
• Assures conformance with sanitation standards.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner.
• Comply with all safety policies, practice, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisory or lead personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job. Position requires standing, walking, carrying, holding tools and hoses, crouching, kneeling, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions effectively and efficiently.
• Individual should have a good safety and attendance record. Regular attendance at work and punctuality are essential job functions.
• Demonstrated commitment to the GMP program requirements.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Safety training.
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) training.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the use of all parts of the body. This includes activities such as (but not limited to) walking, lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, twisting, and turning. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, elbows, hands, and fingers are required. It requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and occasionally up to 100 lbs. Lastly, this position requires the ability to stand for the entirety of the shift (minus break/rest periods). This position is subject to temperatures ranging from 30 degrees to 50 degrees constantly. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Other environmental factors may apply.
