Are you an experienced fragrance evaluator with a refined sense of smell and a passion for sensory analysis? Join MANE’s Wayne, NJ QC team as a Finished Goods Evaluator in this temporary position (until the end of the year), where your expertise in evaluating scents will help ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality. This role focuses on sensory evaluation—technical or laboratory skills are not required, as you’ll be working alongside our technical team.

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The anticipated pay rate for this position is $35 to $45 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, geographic location, and applicable legal considerations. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is awarded based on both individual and company performance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs organoleptic (olfactive, texture, appearance) analyses of raw materials, materials in process and finished products, following prescribed testing procedures.
- Evaluates and records sensory impressions accurately and consistently.
- Maintains records of test results and reports results to requestor.
- Works under general supervision.
- Handles special tasks and projects as requested in order to meet company objectives.
- Participates in relevant education/training and adheres to MANE’s environmental policies and practices.
- Other duties and responsibilities in support of company objectives.
Nice to have:
- Experience with SAP
- GC Interpretation
- Previous experience as a fragrance evaluator or in a similar sensory evaluation role required.
- Formal education or technical background is not necessary, but experience in sensory analysis is essential.
- Excellent sensory perception and descriptive abilities.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Team collaboration.
- Dependable and detail-oriented.
