MANDEX currently has a need for a Security Service Technician/Subject Matter Expert II to join our IESS (Integrated Electronic Security Systems) team based in North Charleston, SC. The Technician will provide an integral role within the Maintenance Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade physical and electronic security systems.
• Required to lift large and heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.), perform physical work such as pulling cables, climbing ladders, and working outdoors for extended periods of time.
• Install panels, bend piping/conduit, perform system wiring of both low and high voltage power, and perform connection of both copper and fiber optics.
• Programming/configuring security software applications required.

EXPERIENCE:

• Ten (10) years of practical experience, including: IESS (Integrated Electronic Security Systems) installation, electronics repair, maintenance, testing, and turnover.
• Extensive experience with electronic and physical security systems.
• Certified with Lenel, DMP, and/or Bosch security systems is preferred.
• Prefer experience in system installations, cable dressing, making/repairing connectors, connecting electrical power including 220 Volt, rigid and EMT conduit installation including conduit bending, and fiber optics cable installation and termination.
• Must be willing and able to travel at least 75%

  • L1000 Series Lock repair/replace

• Control Panels/HMI Access/IDS Software
  • Operational Troubleshooting/Diagnosis
  • Replacement and/or upgrade proposals

EDUCATION:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Technical Training in Electronic Security Systems.
• Formal electronics training from:
  • Technical School, or
  • Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or
  • Four (4) year electronics apprentice program.

• Formal electronics training, to include Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.

SECURITY:

• Must be eligible for, or able to obtain, a Secret clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
