Guide remote firewall operations and security policy governance for DLA enterprise networks within the NETOPS task order.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge and accomplishment in monitoring and analyzing Firewall system logs.
- Works under general supervision, developing the requirements of a product from inception to conclusion.
- Develop required specifications for simple to moderately complex problems.
- Coordinates with the Vendor PM, CORs, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.
- Ability to formulate Security policy and manage Security configuration.
- Moderate travel for on-site deployments, cutovers, and troubleshooting when remote changes aren’t sufficient.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years relevant experience to include the following:
- Working knowledge of Firewalls.
- Working knowledge and understanding of industry standard network environments to include firewall and security hardware/software.
- Working knowledge of Information Assurance Best Practices.
- In depth knowledge of LAN and WAN operations.
- Knowledge of industry standard Incident Ticket Tracking systems for inputting incident tickets and creating work orders.
- Comprehensive knowledge of DoD and DLA security regulations, guidelines and policies, to include, but not limited to, IA standards.
- Working knowledge of the installation, configuration and day-to-today sustainment of network equipment, to include but not limited to: firewalls and other network appliances.
- Strong incident response, root‑cause analysis, and documentation discipline.
Certifications & Clearance:
• Sensitivity Level: IT-I - Critical Sensitive Clearance: Secret
• IA Level: IAT-II
• Computing Environment: CheckPoint Certified Security Associates
• (CCSA) or CheckPoint Certified Security Expert (CCSE) or CheckPoint Security Master (CCSM)
