Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Interior Designer to transform spaces into inspiring, functional environments that reflect our clients’ visions. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to lead creative projects from concept through completion, blending artistic flair with technical expertise. As an Interior Designer, you will collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and vendors to deliver exceptional interior solutions that enhance both aesthetics and usability. Your energy and attention to detail will drive the success of diverse projects, from residential remodels to commercial renovations.
Duties
- Develop comprehensive interior design concepts using industry-standard software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite. Applications welcome if willing to learn
- Create detailed drawings, plans, and 3D visualizations to communicate design ideas clearly to clients and project teams.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively while coordinating with contractors and vendors to ensure seamless execution.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, lighting fixtures, and furnishings that align with design intent and client preferences.
- Oversee renovation and remodeling projects by collaborating on construction plans, reviewing contracts, and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Conduct site visits for inspections, quality control, and progress updates; troubleshoot issues promptly during construction phases.
- Present design proposals confidently to clients, incorporating feedback while maintaining project scope and objectives.
Skills
- Proficiency in SketchUp, Chief Architect ,AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D (3ds), Bluebeam for digital drafting and project documentation. (paid training offered)
- Experience in project management—including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication—to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Familiarity with lighting sales, lighting design concepts, renovation processes, construction documentation, and remodeling procedures.
- Ability to interpret contracts and specifications accurately while coordinating with vendors for procurement of furnishings and fixtures.
- Excellent skills in Canva for rendering presentations and visual storytelling.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental considerations relevant to interior spaces.

Responsibilities
Assist with sourcing and guiding selections for:
Tile
Fabric and furniture : case goods, upholstery
Paint
Finish materials
Organize and manage design samples
Deliver sample materials to local showrooms/vendors approximately once per week (within 35 miles)
Support design presentations and mood boards
Assist with social media, branding, and PR/marketing initiatives
Assist with photo shoot styling
Learning design software tools
Details
Remote and flexible schedule
Approximately 20 hours per week
Based in Danville, California and Applicant must be willing to work in East Bay for meetings and appointments
