About The Job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston within the Residences Department in Boston, Massachusetts, the Residential Houseperson is responsible the overall cleanliness of the residential common areas, including the residential lobby, elevators, mailboxes, and common corridors. The Residential Houseperson will clean Residential units upon request.

The Residential Houseperson reports to the Residential Manager.

As Residential Houseperson you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Ensure residential areas and units, if requested, are cleaned and maintained according to Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group standards and guidelines. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Remove all soiled linens, towels, and trash and appropriately store or dispose of in the back of house
• Thoroughly clean bathrooms using approved cleaning products
• Organize and arrange amenities and personal items according to brand standards
• Replenish amenities towels, and linens, as needed
• Efficiently make beds to meet appearance standards
• Clean windows and mirrors
• Vacuum carpet and dust furniture, surfaces, vents, and baseboards
• Report any defects in guest rooms and public areas, including damaged fixtures or furniture, for correction by the appropriate department
• Provide exceptional service to all guests and residents; greet and offer assistance, answer questions, and respond to any and all requests
• Other duties as assigned by management
  

As Residential Houseperson, We Expect From You

• Minimum of one year’s experience in luxury hospitality in a similar role.
• Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day.
• Ability to regularly lift, push, or pull 30 pounds.
  
  

Compensation

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $32.95.
