Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Barback to support our bustling restaurant and hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will assist bartenders, ensure cleanliness, and contribute to an exceptional guest experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in food service, catering, or hospitality to grow within a vibrant setting. Prior experience in food handling, restaurant operations, or hotel services is highly valued. The position involves working during evening hours, including nights and weekends, in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes teamwork and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders by restocking supplies, garnishes, and beverages efficiently during service hours
• Maintain cleanliness of bar areas, including cleaning glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
• Support food preparation tasks such as garnishing drinks and assisting with light food service or catering setups
• Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes promptly to ensure a clean environment
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions when needed
• Handle cash handling responsibilities accurately and securely
• Ensure compliance with food handling and safety standards in accordance with health regulations
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service flow and guest needs
• Support setup and breakdown of events like banquets or special functions
• Uphold hospitality standards by providing friendly, attentive customer service to guests

Requirements

• Previous experience in food industry roles such as restaurant service, catering, or hotel operations is preferred
• Experience with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards
• Experience with bussing, food preparation, or serving in nightclub or banquet settings is advantageous
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special events
• Hospitality background such as barista experience or restaurant experience is beneficial
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 24.0 per week
