Manchin Injury Law Group is seeking applicants for a paralegal in a plaintiff litigation practice. The paralegal will serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, experts, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel. The position requires meticulous organization, along with excellent written and verbal communications skills. The paralegal will develop and maintain a positive relationship with clients to ensure a case is worked up in a proper and timely manner. The ability to work independently and take initiative on tasks and projects is vital. The applicant must have the ability to utilize specialized software for case management, in addition to working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Organize and maintain case files
- Gather, organize and manage medical records and bills
- Draft and review correspondence and pleadings
- Assist attorneys with case preparation
- File documents in the State and Federal court systems
- Handle administrative tasks such as managing calendars, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls and case filing
