Position Summary
MMC Urgent Care is seeking a motivated, dependable, and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting, demonstrates strong critical thinking skills, and is committed to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and chief complaints
- Prepare patients for evaluation and assist providers during examinations and procedures
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection
- Administer medications and vaccines in accordance with provider orders and state regulations
- Perform CLIA-waived laboratory testing and accurately document results
- Conduct EKGs, point-of-care testing, and other clinical procedures as directed
- Assist with wound care, splinting, injections, and minor procedures
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and prepared for patient care
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions
- Adhere to infection control standards, HIPAA requirements, and clinic policies
- Collaborate effectively with providers and support staff to deliver efficient, high-quality care
Qualifications
- Current Vermont Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
- Prior urgent care, emergency department, family practice, or primary care experience preferred
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to perform clinical duties requiring bending, reaching, and assisting patients as needed

Schedule: Day shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
