What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Activities Coordinator position at Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority?
Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is hiring a Resident Activities and Engagement Coordinator. This candidate will be working directly with MHRA’s tenant population and will plan and implement educational, social, emotional, cognitive and physically appropriate and beneficial programs for elderly and persons with disabilities. The candidate for this role will also serves as the primary backup staff member for MHRA’s Youth Program.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of two to three years related experience in recreational program development for the elderly, persons with disabilities, and/or youth. The idea candidate will have the ability to interact with the elderly, youth, and/or persons with disabilities in a compassionate, diplomatic, positive and helpful manner. Must be able to work independently and maintain professional boundaries. Candidates should have the ability to assess and address problems and concerns of low-income residents, youth, and families. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
This is a full-time, 35-hour work week, non-exempt position.
A valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance are required.
