Mancan Staffing Agency is looking for a Maintenance and Facilities Technician for our client in Naples, FL.

Mon thru Thu 8am to 4pm & F 8am to 2pm, times may vary due to events, temp 2 to 3 months maybe longer. $20 per hour

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Maintenance and Facilities Technician is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, repair, and operational continuity of the 22,000 square foot facility, including offices, classrooms, and program hall spaces. This role ensures a safe, clean, and fully functional environment for staff, program participants, and community members by performing routine maintenance and basic repairs across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, minimizing the need for outside vendors on small or routine issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Responsibilities
Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and minor repair of HVAC systems, including filter changes, basic troubleshooting, and coordinating vendor service when repairs exceed in-house capability
Address basic electrical issues, including outlets, switches, light fixtures, and lamp/bulb replacement
Perform basic plumbing repairs, including clogs, running toilets, faucet leaks, and minor fixture replacement
Conduct general building repairs such as drywall patching, painting, door/lock adjustments, and furniture repair
Monitor building systems and conduct regular walkthroughs to proactively identify maintenance needs
Set up and break down furniture, equipment, and AV needs (Zoom, PowerPoint, projector, laptop, etc.) for programs, meetings, and events
Maintain a preventive maintenance schedule and basic maintenance log/records

Additional Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee outside vendors and contractors for repairs or services beyond scope
Assist with grounds upkeep, exterior building maintenance, and light landscaping as needed
Support seasonal/holiday facility preparation (decorations, signage, security readiness)
Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
Respond to facility-related emergencies (water leaks, power outages, HVAC failures) in a timely manner
Assist with life-safety system checks (fire extinguishers, alarms, emergency lighting) and coordinate required inspections
Support other departments with occasional physical/logistical tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for maintaining facilities excellence, a commitment to mission-driven work, and pride in their work product. They will possess:
High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school certification a plus
Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance, facilities, or a related trade
Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; relevant trade certification(s) (e.g., EPA 608, Building Operator Certification) strongly preferred
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools common to facilities maintenance
Valid driver's license required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including standing, climbing, kneeling, and reaching for extended periods; as well as the balance necessary to climb ladders as needed
Availability for occasional evening or weekend work to support events or emergencies
