Canton Mancan is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join a local organization as an Assistant General Manager.
This position plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and smooth daily operations. In the absence of the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager will oversee multiple departments, support staff, and help drive overall profitability through effective leadership, cost control, and operational excellence.
This position is overtime-eligible (OEM), and overtime pay is calculated accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Supervise daily operations across multiple departments and assist in meeting company profitability goals.
Problem Solving: Anticipate and address workplace challenges proactively to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Hiring & Training: Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff to maintain exceptional service standards and foster employee development.
Communication: Maintain clear, open, and professional communication with both guests and team members.
Financial Support: Review and interpret financial data, assist with budgeting, and perform basic arithmetic functions to support operational goals.
Technical Proficiency: Utilize Windows-based systems for reporting and management purposes.
Professional Standards: Uphold high standards of personal presentation, grooming, and compliance with company policies.
Customer Service: Provide attentive, friendly, and service-oriented interactions with guests and employees to ensure a positive experience.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in hotel operations, rooms, or food & beverage — or
A 4-year degree with 2–3 years of related experience — or
A 2-year degree with 3–4 years of related experience
Prior supervisory or management experience required
Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure
May require certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid
