What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Mobility Consultant / Store Lead position at Manatee Mobility Vans?
Help build our Lakeland location while helping customers find transportation that fits their lives.
Manatee Mobility Vans is expanding into Lakeland. We’re looking for a dependable sales professional who can earn customers’ trust, close sales, and take responsibility for the store’s daily operation with guidance from our General Manager.
We sell new and pre-owned wheelchair-accessible vehicles and provide adaptive equipment, rentals, and service. Our customers deserve someone who listens carefully, explains options clearly, and follows through.
Your role
You’ll be the local point person for customers and daily store activity. You’ll manage your sales pipeline, coordinate appointments and deliveries, and keep the General Manager informed about performance, priorities, and problems that need attention.
What you’ll do
- Respond promptly to phone, website, and walk-in inquiries; maintain consistent follow-up and accurate CRM records.
- Understand each customer’s transportation needs, wheelchair or scooter requirements, budget, and intended vehicle use.
- Demonstrate accessible vehicles and equipment, explain available options, and coordinate technical questions with qualified staff.
- Prepare accurate quotes and coordinate financing, trade-ins, paperwork, and delivery with the appropriate team members.
- Keep the showroom, vehicle displays, appointments, and opening and closing routines organized.
- Coordinate vehicle readiness, service appointments, and customer concerns with the GM and service team.
- Build referral relationships with rehabilitation professionals, healthcare organizations, community groups, and past customers.
- Work toward agreed sales and profitability goals while protecting customer trust.
- Review sales activity, inventory needs, deliveries, and outstanding issues with the GM.
What we’re looking for
- A record of success in consultative sales, such as automotive, mobility, medical equipment, RV, or related fields.
- Strong follow-up habits and the ability to manage both immediate opportunities and longer buying decisions.
- Sound judgment, attention to detail, and the initiative to keep a small store running smoothly.
- Comfort using CRM software, email, and dealership systems.
- A valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
- Mobility-industry experience, relevant product certifications, and prior store or team leadership experience are preferred.
