- Observes, documents, and reports any unusual changes in inmate behavior pursuant to FMJS requirements and in accordance with agency policies.
- Notifies designated persons immediately during an emergency situation, accurately describing the situation and location, pursuant to FMJS requirements and in accordance with agency policies.
- Ensures that adequate stock levels are maintained for all supplies provided, in accordance with agency policies.
- Instructs and guides inmates on the safe use, care and proper return of necessary equipment and tools to perform daily tasks.
- Ensures daily work is performed according to productivity and schedule expectations and in accordance with prescribed agency procedures, security and safety policies.
- Performs and oversees proper cleaning and sanitation processes to meet the custodial and maintenance needs of the agency. May include one or more of the following: building services, laundry and linen operations.
- Complies with safety programs to ensure all equipment and tools are used in a safe manner as well as ensuring compliance with county, state, and federal policies and regulations pertaining to hazardous waste handling.
- Prioritizes maintenance requests based on urgency, safety concerns, available resources/supplies, and other pertinent criteria.
- Successfully completes all assignments to specifications, within specified timeframe and budget as directed and in accordance with agency policies and regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Arrives on time for work, limits breaks and lunches to the allotted time, and leaves on time. Uses leave in accordance with General Orders; communicates and cooperates with management in providing proper notice of leave; patterns and amounts of leave usage (not including legitimate, properly scheduled and approved leave and protected leave).
- Volume of work accomplished is consistent with position requirements and produced within quality tolerance standards.
